Since the selection of Sarah Palin as the Republican Vice Presidential nominee on August 29, the blogosphere on the left and far left has shown signs of not just cognitive dissonance, but rabid mendacity. A tidal wave of nonsense about Sarah Palin’s background, experience and even whether or not she is the mother of her son Trig has poured out of the virtual fever swamps and threaten to drown the electoral process in a miasma of muck.
Wide Awakes, as one of the first sites to endorse both John McCain and Sarah Palin, regards it as its obligation, duty and its privilege to set up a blog whereby these smears can be refuted, and the activities of the nay-sayers can be tracked.
